TSUKIBOSHI MANUFACTURING ANNOUNCES SWITCH TO TRIVALENT CHROME PLATING FOR COLD FORMED FASTENERS AND PARTS.

SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY, DECEMBER 2003 - AdvanTech International, Tsukiboshi Manufacturing's North American & European marketing and distribution partner specializing in the introduction of new technologies into the automotive, motorcycle and industrial marketplaces announces Tsukiboshi's conversion from hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium plating or "Tri-Chrome" for its cold formed fasteners and parts.

Recent environmental mandates such as ELV (End-of -Life Vehicle Directive) including Europe's decision to discontinue use of all hexavalent chromium plated parts in any vehicle after July 1, 2007 have been met well in advance by Tsukiboshi with the conversion of their plating lines to the safer Tri-Chrome plating process. Tri-Chrome plating continues to provide the brilliance of the hexavalent chromium finish while maintaining the corrosion resistance provided by the hexavalent chromium.

Tsukiboshi Manufacturing is a world leader in cold forming technology with capabilities exceeding 12mm diameters and lengths beyond 700mm for parts such as alternator and starter bolts, diesel glow plugs, brake parts, piston rods, stud bolts, electrical parts, steering columns - EPS, fuel injector tubes and many more.
